Summer time means yukata time

Before I came to Japan I was under the impression that a kimono was a kimono and nothing more or less. Of course I was wrong. The summer kimono, or less formal kimono is called the yukata and so many people (mainly children and teenagers) were wearing it around Japan.

They are beautiful.

I am absolutely positive that I would trip and fall if I even tried to wear one.

Neither did I. I just assumed that a Kimono was a Kimono!
