OOTD – Where I dress like a lady

Yesterday one of my very best friends got married to the man she loves. She looked beautiful in a floor length, pale (very, very pale) pink dress with a grey sash around her waist. For this particular occasion i decided to go slightly more animalistic with a snake print, drop waist, ruffled hem dress with hot pink heels.

Now I have known her for years (decades almost) and she puts us all to shame; not only did she plan her own wedding (the Indian celebrations are still to happen and they take a lot of planning) she also passed her fourth year of medical school! When I think of her achievements this year I feel I should do more. Then I take a deep breath and the feeling passes.

Yesterday had to be the perfect day for a wedding and with the sun shining everything was perfect and everyone was beautiful. The ceremony went wonderfully and I was over the moon to witness my BFF getting married.

As this is only the first event of many, I can’t wait to see what the rest of the week has in store!

My shoes – 6 inch platform stilettos with a pink bow on one side and a concealed zip on the other have to be the best thing I ever bought. Under £15 (I can’t remember the exact price as I did buy them a while ago) I got them from a boutique which specialised in reasonably priced shoes and defined ‘reasonably priced’ as under twenty quid – my perfect store. Whenever I wear these shoes I get a compliment and no matter how old they get I will never be throwing them away.

Now I apologise for the terrible quality of the below picture but I wanted you all to see the amazingness that is these shoes.
