Running with #ElleFit

London is the city of my dreams and running in this city’s streets during the night is an actual treat. Earlier this week Elle had their first ever running club session for us Elle insiders and I was lucky enough to be picked.

Olympic trainer Tim Weeks took us on a 6k run (it may have been slightly more) and even after doing 6k the day before in Shoreditch, the distance felt a lot less. With glow stick in hand we made our way around London Town.

I didn’t know there was a rainbow in Trafalgar Square – when I saw that my grin was actually massive. That was our first stop. It was followed by some more incredible London landmarks all beautiful and lit up. The London Eye, Buckingham Palace, Houses of Westminster and Big Ben – we passed them all.

My favourite picture of the night has to be this one. We stopped at Waterloo Bridge (I think that’s the one it was anyway) and stretched.

Once we returned back to Elle’s headquarters and their fashion cupboard we got to indulge in some delicious – and healthy – treats. Glaceau SmartWater (water from actual clouds, how novel. I can’t help but be slightly cynical) and delicious SaVse smoothies, along with Yummy protein balls from Rooted, a new food brand.

It was a fantastic evening and I really hope I can go to their next run too. I loved running in a group, and even though I didn’t speak much as I ran, I knew I was fully supported by my crew for that evening.

It really was! If you are an Elle Insider they are doing another event soon and I you can apply – I’m definitely going to again!
