Bus hunting in the Olympic Park

London’s public art is the best, especially the various parades which happen. At the end of last year there were two, one of them being the bus parade to celebrate the Year of the Bus (which was 2014). For this weekend all the buses were brought together at the Olympic Park in Stratford so that they could all be seen.                                                               DSC_0013

Seeing them all together was beautiful! And here are just some of my favourites.DSC_0012DSC_0007DSC_0017 DSC_0020We all thought the Carnaby Street one was all kinds of perfect. It’s just a happy bus isn’t it?DSC_0034DSC_0036DSC_0032 DSC_0030 DSC_0022Also loved Busby – who wouldn’t love him? (Yup, I just assigned the bus a gender.)DSC_0043 DSC_0053 DSC_0066 DSC_0068 DSC_0074 DSC_0077        DSC_0100 DSC_0112 DSC_0113  DSC_0117DSC_0119 DSC_0120 DSC_0124 DSC_0131 DSC_0022All the buses are up for auction and you can bid on a bus here if you want to – my mum really wants to. And I think that includes the bus below. It was actually being made as we watched – loved that. DSC_0098DSC_0097But I think the coolest thing was being able to see and get on a B-Type Battle Bus used during WW1 to move troops in Britain and France. DSC_0090DSC_0088DSC_0082DSC_0083My favourite pictures of the whole day are below. Sometimes it’s really nice to just be silly and have some fun ins’t it?DSC_0038DSC_0116

Oh the mirror one is great, and I love the flower fairy one too – very fairy-taleish. I’d so get a miniature version if I could , they should make small money tin versions!

Sister loved the flower fairy one too! I wish they had created something like that – I would also love an even more miniature bus on my desk.
