There are times when I am very careful with what I choose to spend my money on, especially when it comes to fitness apparel since it can be so easy to bleed money. However recently I have bought a few key pieces for my fitness wardrobe and all of them were on sale so the bleeding hasn’t been too profuse.
I am really, really looking forward to wearing all of these.
The Lucas Hugh leggings were my most expensive buy and I settled on them because of all the pockets they offer – the leggings I used to wear with a butt pocket (as I like to call it) were perfect until the zip broke. I bought these from Active in Style and even though they are now sold out, Active in Style do have some other Lucas Hugh leggings on sale. And even though black isn’t my go to colour of choice – I love my printed leggings – I always need one pair of black leggings. With them I can truly embrace colourful tops.
The Nike Legendary Lava tights have been on my radar for ages because of the bright colours and patterns. If running tights could be given an emotion then these would definitely be happy tights. They are currently on sale on Nike’s website – I went into a store but couldn’t find them so bought them online. The Nike Miler V-Neck is one I wasn’t planning on buying since I am in the habit of wearing old race shirts when training. Sometimes I feel strangely uncomfortable wearing a shirt advertising a race that took place ages ago. In Winter this is fine since I wear a jacket on top but now that the weather is getting warmer I can’t stand keeping the jacket on. Does anyone else feel unconfutable or is it just me? So I bought this top as something I can wear without any obvious branding. Plus the colour is lovely. It’s also on sale and Nike’s website. It’s also a lot pinker than I expected therefore I love it. I’m also tempted to buy the blue one.
The sports bra is from Zaazee. I bought a grey one from Be:Fit and a few days later I bought the purple bra with a 20% discount Deborah, the founder was kind enough to give me. My old sportsbras have been such a hassle to put on and take off that these are like heaven. They are so easy. And so soft. So far I have used them for running but I think they are suited to more medium to low impact activities or high impact more stationary activities like spinning.
I usually buy fitness clothes and drips so having bought so much in such a short space of time is actually really surprising. Tomorrow I am attending a very cool event in Selfridges and I can’t wait to wear something new.
