Ice, ice baby

Finally the weather has started changing for the better, days are longer and they are actually warm and sunny. It just makes everything all the more enjoyable and even though I am not a big tea drinker I love unusual tea flavour and iced tea. One of my favourite places to indulge in this love of mine is T2, an Australian tea company which specialises in delicious flavours and combinations, and excellent customer service (I seriously can’t go on about how lovely the members of staff are. Makes a change from all the crap customer service you also get). Last night they were hosting an iced tea event and I had to get myself down to their Kings Road store.

When I walked in I was given a choice between two iced teas, mango twister and strawberries and cream.  Since mango twister is a limited edition flavour that was the one I went for and it was delicious. Really yummy and very refreshing.

T2 were also offering people the chance to have their own iced tea brew blended and that was my next mission – when else would I get the chance to do that? I opted for a green tea with pineapple and coconut (hello pina colada) and a turkish apple. It was brewed and then poured over ice before being garnished. Again absolutely delicious.

Once I drank this I helped myself to some canapés – the salted caramel one was delicious – before getting down to some shopping. I love my green teas and couldn’t leave empty handed but since choosing is always really hard I opted for a selection and with a goody bag they gave every one who attended I actually ended up with a very nice selection of tea.

It was just a lovely way to spend a really sunny evening and as iced teas are delicious I was very, very happy.
