Earlier this week I went to a Stretch & Strengthen workout in Hyde Park with London Midnight Runners and Lorna Jane. Led by the amazing Adrienne, the workout was a mix of body weight exercises, strengthening, and stretches. I am one of those runners that underestimates the value of a good cool down and stretch. Sure I stretch, but nothing like what we did. That workout game my legs (and whole body) huge amounts of love.
It was such a brilliant way to tone and strengthen my muscles. When I first heard about it, I thought it was going to be easy – that certainly wasn’t the case.
As the class progressed we stretched as the sun was setting and it really was beautiful.
Of course at the end, Jenni (The Nutty Noddle) and I had to have a little fun.
