It has been a while since I have written about a collaboration which has got my blood pumping. But I bring you one today. This is Leith Clark (Editor-in-Chief of The Violet Book, and Style Director at Large of Bazaar UK) melding minds with Orla Kiely (Fashion Designer extraordinaire) and creating a collection of clothes which I can’t wait to get my hands on.
My absolute favourite piece has to be this metallic grey dress (or the Dress of Dreams as I like to call it). The length of the sleeves and the detailing at the neck are beautiful.
I know I will be too petite for this dress. Then again, I know how to hem – depending on the price I am very happy to get crafty!
This is a close second and as it is shorter I know I won’t have a problem with the length. Again I love the sleeves and the neckline, plus the traditional Orla Kiely print. It’s such a feminine dress in muted tones and I love that.
Also t-bar shoes need to get into my wardrobe ASAP. I just had a mosey around the web and these delicious shoes are part of another collabortaion Orla Kiely has done, this time with Clarks (so you know they are comfortable). They can be found here and pretty soon in my wardrobe.
So what do you all think? I am such a fan and I can’t wait to try some of the pieces when the collection goes on sale in October.
