Apart from the day trip to Vaxholm, sister and I also decided to visit Uppsala, one of Sweden’s university towns. So one day we jumped on a train and headed out of Stockholm. I don’t want to rub it in but as with every single other day, the weather was glorious.
The running theme through our holiday was walking and spending the day in Uppsala was exactly the same. We walked everywhere. The Cathedral, Castle, Botanical Gardens, and University – we walked everywhere. We only drew the line at walking to Gamla Uppsala ( 5km away from everywhere else) – seeing an archaeological site wasn’t as compelling when the walk back was looming in front of us too.
I love fancy flooring and this was inside the University’s main building.
Another running theme seems to be spending lots and lots of time in various parks. Before we headed back to base in Stockhol, we took a stroll through one of Uppsala’s parks.
In this park we also tried to use a selfie stick. Neither of us have ever used one before and I bought one specially for this trip. This is one of the outtakes and possibly one of my favourite images. I present to you all gravel and grass and legs.
