Last week I had the pleasure to try For Goodness Shakes‘ new Protein Water at a HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) session at 1Rebel (also brilliantly known as the King of Gyms). This is the protein water to be available at a mass level in the UK and I was genuinely quite excited to try it. When I work out plain water is all I ever need and at the best of times protein shakes aren’t to my taste so I interested to see how protein water would fare. Read on to find out!
So off I went to a bespoke 1Rebel HIIT class after work. I have mentioned before that I love HIIT classes and this was all kinds of wonderful and exactly what I needed after a stressful day. Lunges, treadmill sprints, weights, and core work – my only criticism was that it was only 20 minutes long. I would have loved for it to be longer. However even 20 minutes of HIIt gets your heart rate pounding and the sweat dripping, especially since 1Rebel have treadmills which you power yourself. (I love those!)
Waiting for us on our benches inside the studio was a bottle of Protein Water. It’s a combination of being low calorie, no sugar drink which is so much lighter than a protein shake (sometimes really thick protein shakes make me feel a little sick). As of yet it comes in two flavours and the one I tried was Orange & Mango. I love both of those and was very happy to find that the taste of this Protein Water actually resembled those two fruits. I found it tasty and can see how it’ll become a staple in so many people’s fitness plans. While I don’t think it’ll ever replace water for me I definitely plan on it becoming an addition too my fitness drinks. I love that there is so much protein in these and it still has the consistence of water.
How brilliant are these pictures of me?! I am nice and sweaty and I love it! Shows just how impactful a 20 minute HIIT workout is. I am so grateful to have been invited to this event and for ForGoodnessShakes for letting me try their Protein Water.
