Blog tour alert! I was really looking forward to being part of this blog tour because I can’t remember the last time I read a romance novel. Imposters in Paradise has the romance, the adventure, and mystery that I love.

When Imogen arrives in Bermuda she meets Morgan Dax, the man her brother worked for, and the man she falls in love with. But there is more to him than meets the eye and she is sure he his hiding something – can she trust him?

Maxine Barry has written such a fun book with an exciting plot and really well developed characters. It wasn’t hard to fall in love with Imogen and Morgan. However, as with last week’s review I found it a little hard to warm to the romance between the two of them. Individually they were funny, clever, and flawed characters. But at times when they were together I found myself thinking of how well they fit into romance book stereotypes. Sometimes I was happy to go along with the stereotypes but other times I just couldn’t.

So even though Imogen and Morgan as a couple didn’t steal my heart, Bermuda as the setting of the book really, really did. I know so little about the place that I loved the role the country played in Imposters in Paradise. I finished the book full of wanderlust!

I was given a free copy of the ebook as I am art of the blog tour. This hasn’t influenced my thoughts or opinions at all. Imposters in Paradise is available now from all good and evil ebook retailers. You can also have a look at the other amazing people in the blog tour!
