As I mentioned on my 7 Things for November list I now only have two very pricey items on there. And one I decided to buy. That being these boots, the Chloe Susanna boots loved by (it seems) everyone. And now I own them.
Stylist Live, the festival of inspiration was back for the second year last week and on the Friday I was there. Last year I was lucky enough to win an upgrade and have my standard ticket turn into a VIP one. Stylist Live know how to treat their VIPs and as I enjoyed the experience so much there year I decided to buy a VIP ticket as soon as I could. However deciding which day to go was much, much harder until I saw that on the Friday there was a talk called Sweat, Sacrifice, and Sleepless Nights: Heroes of Rio 2016.
I was sold.
Trainers are a staple in my wardrobe. As a runner I spend a lot of time in trainers. What I really embraced over the summer was wearing trainers with all things non-lycra, like this beautiful midi dress.
I was planning on writing one post only to talk about London Fashion Week. Even though I love it there is A LOT that happens and Vogue has all the pictures so they don’t also need to be on here. The plan is for my one LFW post to cover everything and talk about my main highlights. Then Ashish happened and that all flew out of the window. Ashish’s Bollywood Bloodbath had me staring mouth open, eyes shining, and heart racing as models walked down the runway showcasing the collection.
Fashion Week is waving a fond farewell to New York before heading across to the pond. And as New York scrubs the glitter off the walls and wonders exactly what happen to street style to ruin it so, I’m going to take stock of what I have learnt.
- It’s better to fall when you are in a killer pair of shoes. Sure the shoes are the reason you fell but if you’d slipped in trainers no one would be laughing with you; they’d be laughing at you instead.
