I have always been slightly obsessed with breakfast and this tahini porridge with honey and sesame brûlée is my actual dreams come true. Breakfast is almost always my favourite meal of the day. No matter how much I love sleep I will always wake up early enough to eat breakfast before rushing out of the door. On weekends I can indulge in this love and try something new and exciting.

Very recently Richard Paterson was kind enough to send me a couple of boxes of Keep Me Going, a cereal developed after noticing how much sugar and salt were in cereals (especially children’s cereals). Two years of development later, the first cereals in the Keep Me range are ready for eating.

Breakfast has always been my favourite meal of the day and if I could I would have it all the time. Recently I went to three NTC x Frame events where the amazing Pip & Nut were handing out the best toast-based breakfast ever. Since having that I have been experimenting with my own nut butters and toppings, creating some breakfasts which still make me drool over them.

2Is it strange that I have never had brunch before, in the traditional sense of the word? I love breakfast too much to ever miss it so my brunch should always be a second breakfast, first lunch combination. This was the case yesterday – I tried to hold off eating breakfast, I really did (for about two minutes) – as a proper brunch should be had on an empty stomach (I just made that up). Maybe just being hungry counts? Regardless I found my way to Jackson + Rye yesterday afternoon so that I could have some brunch. Though it was well after midday that I ate. Is that linner?

I think I am thinking about this too much.

Every morning before school/high school/university/work I make sure I have time to eat my bowl of cereal. If I am running late I will forgo everything else before I skip breakfast.
