This 10k race report is long overdue! A couple of years ago I heard about a 10km that the BBC Run Club put on. A lot of employees attend but it is also open to the public so I decided to run too. This month’s 7 things is slightly different to normal. It’s August, it’s Summer, and holiday season is here. Even if the London weather isn’t playing ball (yet, all us Londoners live in hope) my emotions are definitely linked with the longer days and long stretches of sunshine. So instead of 7 things I want to achieve or work towards this month, this is my Summer Wish List. It is also one of the most fun lists I have ever written.

So here’s what I want out of August, the holidays I have planned, and all the (wishful) sunshine!

Sweatlife is back for its second year! Last weekend Lululemon took over the Tobacco Dock in East London to host a day of sweat, fun, food, and more sweat. I couldn’t make it in 2016 but this year I didn’t want to miss it. Everyone’s ticket prices included two sweat sessions, unlimited yoga and learn sessions. Once I bought my ticket I had to make the very hard choice of choosing if I try a new studio or if I go for studios I love and trust. If only all my problems were this fun!

Last weekend I joined the amazing ladies at We Love to Brunch and Creating for Good as they organised another event for causes that matter. This time the venue was Balls Brothers in Mayfair and 100% of the proceeds went to Just Bread an organisation which brings together the refugee women of London to share their skills, creativity, and cultural heritage whilst acquiring the skills of a professional baker. Such a good cause, meeting some amazing women, and trying brunch in a new place? Win, win, win.

When it comes to my hair I usually go to a lovely salon, get it cut and then leave it in that style for about three years before noticing my split ends and deciding to do something about it. This time I didn’t have the chance to be so neglectful and my hair was very, very thankful when I was offered a complimentary session at the new RUSH Hair & Beauty Salon in Westbourne Grove.

If my hair could, it would have been jumping for joy.
