Sweatlife is back for its second year! Last weekend Lululemon took over the Tobacco Dock in East London to host a day of sweat, fun, food, and more sweat. I couldn’t make it in 2016 but this year I didn’t want to miss it. Everyone’s ticket prices included two sweat sessions, unlimited yoga and learn sessions. Once I bought my ticket I had to make the very hard choice of choosing if I try a new studio or if I go for studios I love and trust. If only all my problems were this fun!

In early May I ran 10k with the Lady Garden, a gynaecological charity aiming to raise awareness for gynaecological cancers. They want women to stop being embarrassed about their bodies and start talking to people about any gynaecological concerns they might have.

This is the second year of Lady Garden and while I completely missed out on it last year, I made sure I could run this year. This year they also had two running distances – a 5k and a 10k. I signed up for the 10k. I am now quite comfortably running 5k distances again but 10k? The last time I ran a 10k was for the Winter Run when my goal was to finish and not be in too much pain. Now I wanted to run it in under an hour and to run it without stopping.

So it has finally sunk in that this is happening. I am running the Lulelemon Seawheeze Half Marathon this year. And more than that it’s happening in Canada so I am going to Vancouver! I have never been there and running a race there with my wonderful family watching is going to be amazing.

I have two pairs of black leggings in my wardrobe – they are perfect for the days when it’s so early the sun hasn’t risen yet or I am not in the happiest of moods. Most of the time though I choose to ditch the darker colours and my wardrobe is full of printed goodness. Now that the sales have started I have added two more printed tights to my (ever increasing) collection.
