Recently I woke up on a Saturday morning and decided that I didn’t particularly want a coffee that day. While at work it’s easy to buy – and I am a coffee buyer rather than a coffee maker – but at home going to a coffee shop is never all that important. So I decided to not bother and didn’t think much of it.

And that’s when the headache started. The mother of ALL ┬áheadaches and worse than anything I had had before. It lasted the whole day. At first I didn’t know what had caused it: I’d slept well and woken refreshed. It was also tormenting me on Sunday – and that when I realised I was going through coffee withdrawal.

And that was it. I stopped drinking caffeine.
