Every Monday a group of amazing pacers lead a group of eager runners all around London. The pacers change and the runners change, and occasionally the time table changes and we run on a different day, but it’s always called Home Run. It’s something I always look forward to.

NTC is back! This season the focus is on training efficiently and using the time you have to train as effectively as possible. And what’s more, this Nike have used some of the best instructors and best studios to host the sessions. In a week classes cover Mobility, Endurance, and Strength in locations including Kobox, Frame, and Third Space.

As with almost every class Nike offers, these are free and work on a first come first served basis. Last week I was lucky enough to head to the fist Strength class at Kobox.

I was trying to think of a way to introduce you all to the latest amazing person to star in my London ETC series but when it comes to Emma, the first thing I want you all to know about her is that I LOVE HER. She is one of the strongest, most determined, most inclusive people I know. What’s more she is one of those genuinely lovely people who actually wants you to succeed. Emma is a former athlete, keen runner and Nike pacer. Like me, she was a Games Maker in 2012 (and like me she loved it as much as I did!). Unlike me she has completed an indoor Iron Man and the 24 hour burpee challenge (!!) In this weeks’ London ETC she talks about her love of training outdoors, how she honours her father’s memory, and what healthy means to her.

Enjoy!

Rebecca Gentry – runner, personal trainer, Nike+ Run Club Coach, and all round superstar – was one of the first people I met when I started running with Nike in 2015. Since then I have run with her – and been motivated by her – almost every single week. I remember talking to her earlier this year when she had something like 45 races and her own wedding in the space of about two days (I am exaggerating but only very slightly!). Becs took everything in her stride and helped the rest of us achieve our goals too. I was so thrilled when she agreed to be part of London ETC and she talked to me all about her favourite training spaces, her love of sweating, and why she loves training in different climates. Clue: it’s all about the clothes!

The NFL is in London. To celebrate Nike hosted a training session in Bloomsbury Square last week and I was one of the few people with quick fingers who managed to get a spot! The class was run by Jamie Reynolds one of my favourite trainers ever and someone I’ve had the pleasure of training with before.
