2016 has been a big year for me mainly because this is the year I Fell In Love With Coffee. I fell in love with the taste and smell and think I have drunk enough to know a good one from a bad one. But I can’t call myself an expert and know next to nothing about beans except they all seem to be named after their country of origin. Instead I know the places where I love the coffee I am served and in this post I bring 3 of my favourite coffee shops in London.

Poached eggs, grilled avocado, roasted mushroom, asparagus, cherry tomatoes, fresh beetroot, and cantaloupe melon, with goji berries and pistachios… tell me your stomach isn’t rumbling from reading that. When I went to The Blues Kitchen last weekend my eyes initially went to the pancakes. Then I read what was in their Healthy Breakfast and my eyes grew as large as my stomach. Forget the pancakes and give me the eggs and asparagus!

A little while ago some friends and I found ourselves at Andina, an all day restaurant in Shoreditch serving healthy food and drinks from the Peruvian Andes. We wanted to try their Replenish Menu which has been created by PT Harry Jameson. We’d all done a run and yoga session and I for one was exhausted having done also done a HIIT session that morning. As far as I was concerned this was the perfect experiment to see if I really was replenished after my day of activity.

NTC Week has to be the coolest things to happen in January. Run by Nike it’s a week of classes for anyone and everyone to be a part of. This morning I went on a six kilometre run in Shoreditch (hello epicentre of cool, we meet again) where the weather was close to freezing and the enthusiasm sky high.

Oh Elle Magazine. Once upon a time you were just a magazine, now you are quickly becoming the magazine thanks to the incredibly events you run. Last night’s book club was sponsored by Baileys (there was chocolate Baileys on offer, chocolate) and the incredible Jessie Burton was the guest of honour. Her book The Miniaturist is incredibly popular, selling like hot cakes. I love the book and getting the chance to meet her was an opportunity I couldn’t miss.
