Who went to Stylist Live last week? ME! I treated myself to a VIP ticket and headed to their new venue in Olympia London very, very excited. I went in 2015 and 2016 and loved it both times. My VIP ticket also included a Thrive session – one of the sessions you can book and I decided to get a Quickfire Introduction into Coding.

Stylist Magazine, a free London based weekly magazine, hosted their first #StylistLive last week – an exhibition of food, fashion, books, and beauty. I bought myself a ticket for this on the first day they went on sale, back when 2015 was still a very young year. As with most things I am really excited about going to I just couldn’t sleep the night before (I can’t wait to be ‘adult’ enough for this to stop happening to me). Also, and this is a massive confession, I got to London’s Business Design Centre an hour before they whole shindig opened. AN HOUR.

Amazingly there was one woman who reached even earlier.

I hate working through my lunch break. When I am not running at lunch I try and make all possible effort to get away from my desk, to go for a walk outside, to read my book, to do something other than sit and stare at a computer screen. Recently Stylist Magazine launched their Reclaim Your Lunch Break campaign all with the aim of getting people away from their desks and outside. Today was the day when London was full of free lunch time events and I decided to make my own hairband with The Makery.

After an amazing inaugural event with Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie earlier this year, last night Stylist Magazine were back with their second book club. And for this month the author was the incredible Sarah Waters and the book her latest masterpiece, The Paying Guests.
