This month’s 7 things is slightly different to normal. It’s August, it’s Summer, and holiday season is here. Even if the London weather isn’t playing ball (yet, all us Londoners live in hope) my emotions are definitely linked with the longer days and long stretches of sunshine. So instead of 7 things I want to achieve or work towards this month, this is my Summer Wish List. It is also one of the most fun lists I have ever written.

So here’s what I want out of August, the holidays I have planned, and all the (wishful) sunshine!

August is here and it is time for my third ‘7 Things’ post! Summer in London has its positives and negatives – you have the stifling hot tubes but you also have the stunning flowers, the sounds of birds singing, and warmth which stretches well into the evening. I love this time of year and am looking forward to what it has in store for me. My 7 Things For August carries forward one point from July, one which I really wish I had been able to do then. Please let me know what you want this month to have in store for you – I love reading about everything that all of you are up to.

The fact that I am going to Japan this summer was once nothing more than a distant point in my far away future, one for me to look forward to. But summer is coming around, and coming quickly, so I have had to start thinking of what I plan to do, and what I plan to take. I am going to try (very hard) to be as minimal as possible, but I do need the essentials, and as far as I am concerned these are the essentials.

Only recently have I fallen head over heels in love with Toms, the company which makes shoes which don’t hurt my feet or make me cry. So far I have only purchased their slip ons but when I saw these beautiful sandals on asos I have to buy them. They will be perfect for Japan, where the weather is going to be hot and humid.
