When I found out I was going to be staying overnight in Bath, the first thing I thought of was going for a run and hoping the weather would hold. Bath seems to be the perfect city for runners, especially tourist runners: everything is near everything else, there are long flats and challenging hills, and all the tourists a solo traveller could hope for. Only one person looked at me as if I had lost my marbles when I asked them to take a picture of me. Only one!
I ran, I partied, and I collected one of the loveliest medals ever. Welcome to my race recap for the lululemon Seawheeze Half 2017! My first half marathon took me to London. My second took me to Vancouver. I love travelling to run and running when I travel. This was the perfect way to mix both, especially because I had never been to Canada. Seawheeze isn’t just a race, it is also a weekend of pre- and post-Wheeze activities.
September is here and it’s the start of my favourite season! I love Autumn – for the colours, the food, the long sleeves! For me summer was hard work and slightly sad and already September has started with me in a calmer and happier frame of mind. I can’t wait for everything this month holds for me.
I spent June travelling and eating and running. I think as far as this year goes so far, it was definitely one of the better months. Here’s hoping July is as fun!
