Warming: this post starts with a bold claim. I think I have perfected the turmeric latte. I know, I know – how can I have the audacity to make such a claim? The perfect turmeric latte is the stuff of myth and legend. Well I am here to tell you that you can cut your tower length hair and that you don’t have to prick your finger on that spinning wheel. I love how things I have been eating all my life become zeitgeist. Not only do I get to tell everyone that I have been eating that for years (!) but I love the resulting originality and innovation in recipes with that ingredient. Yes, I have been having turmeric since birth and love it, but it never occurred to me to have a turmeric latte until I saw it in a café.

They are apparently the new blueberry even though blueberries are still the new blueberry. Coconuts – in all its forms, as oil, water, flesh, flakes – and turmeric are the new superfoods. Now to me this comes as no shock and I am genuinely surprised when people ‘discover’ turmeric and coconuts. I mean really? Have you never seen them before? Never eaten them before?
